Book Review Policy

Review Policy

I read and review books about the former Canal Zone and the country of Panama. I also read and review books about pirates since pirates were a major influence in early Panama history.

I post my reviews on my blog, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and anywhere else I see fit.

I either purchase or borrow the books I review. Though, at times, a friend or a family member will give me a book that he/she has had in a bookcase or picked up at a used book sale. I’ve even received a book or two in the mail without a return address, and I don’t know where it came from. All I know is I’m always happy to receive a book!

I am not paid to write reviews. All the opinions I write are my own thoughts.

If a book is given to me for the purpose of a review from the author/publisher, there will be a statement at the bottom of the book review that says: I received this book for review by the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review. I was not paid to write this review.

I am not told what to say or write, and I am not told whether or not to like a book. I do not accept a book where a positive review is expected. I will not accept books for review if it has explicit content or if the review must be posted by a certain date/ I work on my own timeline.
